34 years ago I became a landlord at the young age of 22. I had several rental properties and had to learn how to fix them. Using building skills I learned from working as a laborer in the construction industry, I tore my houses apart and put them back together. Having a degree from the US Navy in electronics, I hired electricians to teach me to do residential electric work and rewired my homes. I also hired Plumbers and HVAC techs and had them guide me as well.

At age 25 I sold my homes and went to college for a year. I needed money and started a painting business. For several years I focused on painting. Customers would often ask me if I knew anyone that could do Plumbing and Electric work. I would explain to them that I could and my business began to diversify. After 5 years my painting business had become a remodeling company. I was doing whole house remodeling. Building custom Kitchens and Bathrooms. I had several subcontractors that worked with me. I especially enjoyed the Plumbing and Electric work. I would often hire my Electrician and Plumber to pull the permits and boss me to do the work. I also did Home Inspections as Inspector Johnathan INC. Now at 56 I don't enjoy the big long jobs. Give me a Water Heater to install, a hole in a ceiling or wall to fix, or a ceiling fan to assemble and I'm happy. I work by myself. I don't play games and am all about getting the job done.
